Congratulations to Raghav and Parineeti

Actor Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha had a big day. The couple got engaged on Saturday evening at Delhi's Kapurthala House in the presence of over 150 guests including family members and close friends. The couple announced the big news by sharing a similar post. Parineeti wrote,

  "Whatever I prayed for... He said yes... Waheguru ji mehar karan..." Raghav Chadha wrote in the caption, "Whatever I asked, She said yes. Waheguru ji mehar karan...."

The comments section of the actress' post was filled with wishes from the stars. Parineeti's Ladies Vs Ricky Behl co-star Anushka Sharma wrote: "Congratulations." Kapil Sharma commented, "Many congratulations to both dear Parineeti and Raghav. Lots of love and happiness always." Parineeti's Kill Dil and Ladies Vs Ricky Behl co-star Ranveer Singh wrote, "Blessed."

Nimrat Kaur's comment read, "Gosh how lovely Parineeti Chopra! Many many congratulations and love my darling." Bhumi Pednekar, Neha Dhupia, Sania Mirza, Sophie Choudry, Neha Kakkar and other celebs also wished the newly-married couple.

Parineeti Chopra's cousin and actor Priyanka Chopra specially flew down to Delhi to attend the festivities. She arrived with husband Nick Jonas and daughter Malti Mary. Designer Manish Malhotra, who was the official designer of the actress' engagement dress, was also on the guest list.

The rumors about Parineeti and Raghav Chadha started earlier this year after they were photographed together at a Mumbai eatery, followed by being spotted together at the airport. The couple was first called out by MP Sanjeev Arora, who tweeted about them after pictures of them together. MP Sanjeev Arora congratulated the "Sangh" and blessed both. "My heartiest congratulations to @raghav_chaddha and Parineeti Chopra. May their union be blessed with lots of love, happiness and support. My best wishes," Arora said in his tweet.

According to news agency ANI, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha studied together at the London School of Economics.

Parineeti Chopra is the star of films like Code Name: Tiranga, The Girl On The Train, Saina Nehwal Biopic, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Hasee Toh Phasee, Kesari, Shuddh Desi Romance and Ishaqzaade. The actress was last seen in Sooraj Barjatya's Uthai. Parineeti Chopra made her acting debut in the 2011 romantic comedy Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. She will next be seen in Chamkila and Capsule Gill.
